Okay ... Define Timely

Well it has been about a month since I posted ... and as of today it is 37 days until Yoko and I tie the knot. We have been running along like mad trying to get things ready but just when we seem to catch up ... something is added to the list. But then this is SOP in anything in life, right?

I RESOLVE TO POST IN A TIMELY MANNER

Whoops!

Well what are resolutions made for if not to break? It is already 7 days into the new year and here I am just writing my good wishes to all for the New Year.

Happy New Year to one and all and God bless us.

I was very touched by Frank's post, http://mkrusty.blogspot.com/ I did not know weither to laugh or cry ... for isn't it said that misery loves company? I too need to look to a weighty situation ... that being my girth ... my gravitational pull ... my growth potential. Yoko and I, have both taken this matter at hand. We, and we do not speak just in the "royal"sense, have too much to live for ... too much to do to short change ourselves. Better to cheat the belly than ourselves.

I too, like Frank have hurt my knee and heres hopping that the two of us will be hopping together soon ... Highland fling anyone?

Frank has promised us more of his writings. This is something to look forward too. I, in turn, promise 12 Terri Castles this year. I also intend to work on the BOOK, transcribing Dad's notes. Yoko has pledged her help on the later.

A FEW NOTES TO BRING US UP TO SPEED

Jim Lang is greatly missed. He has been getting radiation treatments and has come to that point, where his taste buds are not functioning. His wife Sally cooked him his favorite meal, a chicken dinner with all the trimmings. He asked how it tasted and she replied that it was perhaps the best she had ever done. He said that she would have to enjoy it for the two of them as he could taste nothing. Wed. saw a feeding tube installed(?) and Thurs, Jim began one of two "mega" kemo treatments. 7 hours. I know there was not a Jack's son one of us, who did not tink of him and have a prayer on his lips.

Andy A, left on Thur, retiring. He had been asked if he wanted his party. When he said no, Kris B. reminded himn that he was entitled to one. Again it was a firm "NO!" So I was a little suprized when our area manager, Kristen was with toadies, cake ... and camera in tow, was postioned in the back of the luggage room. We were called back to await Andy's arrival. And we waited. And waited. Bob was sent to fetch him, but only returned with a smile and news of his dash to leave the property. (Andy had a flight to Puerto Rico.) John D looked at the clock and commented that he believed Andy had clocked out before time ... and suggested that perhaps he should be repermanded. (John was one of three to be chastized for an honest mistake of filling out the timesheet which was considered a petty act of (mis)management. The management team just stared at him and John replien"What am I the only one to think it funny?" Kristen then asked how long Andy had worked for Disney and was answered with 17 years. She then questioned why someone with that amount of time, upon achieving their retirement would bolt from the hotel. My response was, "Perhaps the last 17 years."

Just remember ... "Moral is not important."

A lady I was checking out, nice enough, was bragging on her grandchildren. Not unusual, and most expected. They all were quite bright, by her accounts, taking excelurated classes at school. The eldest was appearing the next day in "The Merchants of Venice." She tried to enlighten me that this was Shakespeare, and then quipped, "But then you wouldn't know about that." I shot back,"If you prick us , do we not bleed?" She seemed suprized and said if I knew the Bard, which of his plays did I favor. I told her I like comedies ... and that "The Taming of the Shrew" was my favorite, but as to the historicals/tradgities I had to like "MacBeth" because of family ties. She sneered, "Oh, so you are related to MacBeth?" I smiled and said, "Only by marriage." I went on to explain that I was related to Duncanna (the king murdered by MacBeth) and that my favorite line was "Lead on MacDuff." I went on to explain that it had lost it's meaning as that even in that time it was known that the MacDuff line had died out, being absorbed into the MhorGunn (or Duncanna's) line and so what Shakespere was having Macbeth do, was to call him a dead man. I finished packing the trunk and wished her grandchild "... break a leg."

A couple of sites to recommend:

Drawn http://drawn.ca/ is a really great site dealing with other sites and blogs of artists and their illustrations. Check out this entry in particular. Fuggy Fuggy http://drawn.ca/

The other touches on my other passion ... the dulcimer/music. http://www.contemporarymountaindulcimer.blogspot.com./
It is written by dulcimer genius, Stephen Seifert and details his experimentation with electricity. There was some disccusion on Everything Dulcimer http://www.everythingdulcimer.com/discussion/read.php?TID=6284
There was a comment/s stating concerns wiether such activities would cheapen Steve's ability and make him seem just a second rate guitar player. First I approached his offerings as experiments and a chance for growth, both which I heartily applaude him. Perhaps though my ears are lacking ... and I know I have much to learn so I don't speak with the backing of knowledge but if Stephen's playing is considered second rate ... it is a greatness I aspire to.

Today, it is only 59 days until the wedding. Time is, at the same time both moving so quickly and not coming soon enough. I finish this, as the plans for the day include regestering at Target per the request of several of my Lady's friends and coworkers. I vote for tha widesreen TV. :)
